This policy explains what Project X Group does with information connected to projectxgroup.com. The public site is a marketing site. It does not ask you to create an account or fill in a form.
Who we are
Project X Group publishes this website and operates the staff dashboard at /admin. Questions about this policy, or a request about your information, can be sent to hello@projectxgroup.com.
Information you send us
If you email us a pitch, a club enquiry, or any other message, we receive the address you write from, the contents of the message, and any files you attach, such as a deck. We use that information to read the enquiry, reply, and decide whether to continue a conversation. We do not add public-site visitors to a mailing list.
Dashboard accounts
People who are given access to the dashboard have an account. We store:
- email address, so the person can sign in
- password as a hash and salt, not as the password itself
- role, which controls what that person can publish or manage
- sign-in session data, including a cookie that keeps the person logged in
Staff may also upload article text and media. Published articles appear on the public site. Drafts stay in the dashboard until someone with permission publishes them.
Information collected automatically
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel receives technical data when a page is requested, including IP address, browser type, and the page requested. That data is used to deliver the site, keep it reliable, and investigate abuse. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on the public pages.
The pages load the typefaces Inter and Space Grotesk from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to fetch those font files. Google’s handling of that request is described in Google’s own privacy policy.
Account and article records are stored in a Postgres database provided by Neon. Passwords in that database are stored only as hashes.
Cookies
The public pages do not set a cookie for tracking or advertising. The dashboard sets a session cookie so a signed-in person stays signed in. That cookie is necessary for the dashboard to work. Closing the session or logging out ends it.
How we use information
- to answer messages sent to hello@projectxgroup.com
- to consider investment, partnership, or sports enquiries
- to run the dashboard, publish articles, and limit access by role
- to protect the site and the accounts on it
We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Messages are kept for as long as the enquiry is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can keep a record of what was discussed. Dashboard accounts are kept while the person needs access. When an account is removed, the login record is deleted. Server logs are kept for the period set by the host.
Your requests
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@projectxgroup.com. We may need to keep a copy where we are required to, or where we need it to record an investment discussion. If you are signed in to the dashboard, logging out ends the session cookie.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
